Black Ops 2 / Mass Effect 2 Disc Mix-up Addressed By BioWare

Mass Effect Trilogy Coming This Holiday Season

It seems that a fair number of boxed retail copies of the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are shipping with Mass Effect 2 data on the second disc, something that Mass Effect creator BioWare is now taking advantage of. The developer is inviting the thousand or so affected customers to step up and receive a code for a free download of the Mass Effect Trilogy on PC.

All you have to do is snap a photo of yourself holding the offending Disc 2, with both yourself and your misprinted disc fully visible. Send the photo over to community@bioware.com and the developer will sling a code back your way. To BioWare, all I can really say is: well played, y'all. Well played.
