Black Ops 2's Trent Reznor Music Is NIN Fan-Friendly

Posted November 13, 2012 - By Adam Rosenberg

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 touches down in stores today, giving fans their first chance to check out the game's theme song, which was co-composed by video game music vet Jack Wall and Nine Inch Nails bossman Trent Reznor. You can give it a listen yourself up top if you haven't had a chance to check it out inside the game yet (via Kotaku).

I'm thinking that those who appreciate Reznor's work as a musician will take to this new track immediately. The piano-heavy instrumental is overflowing with minor keys and big crescendos, and it feels very much like one of Reznor's quieter, more reflective Nine Inch Nails tracks. Even if the game isn't your thing, the music is well worth checking out.
