We already know that DreamWorks' upcoming Need for Speed movie adaptation will star Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, but now Variety reports that Captain America's Dominic Cooper is in negotiations for a co-starring role. He would play an ex-NASCAR driver who runs a business focused on "rebuilding and modifying supercars." The Fright Night remake's Imogen Poots is reportedly up for a role as well, as an exotic car dealer who does business with the two male leads.
The story, which isn't based on any of the series' previous games, establishes Paul as an underground race car driver who is framed and sent to prison for the murder of his BFF during a race. He's understandably looking for revenge after he gets out. Given that this is a Need for Speed movie, revenge probably involves some amount of street racing.
DreamWorks has a February 7, 2014 release set for this one and it looks like we'll be hearing plenty more about it in the coming months.
