Skyrim fans on PlayStation 3 and PC platforms have had to wait patiently for DLC thanks to an Xbox 360 exclusivity deal, but Bethesda Softworks confirms in a tweet that new DLC is "close" for the two platforms. Two content add-ons have already been released for the 2011 RPG, called Dawnguard and Hearthfire, and the former came to PCs in summer 2012.
Sony's console presents more of a problem for the team at Bethesda, with all Skyrim DLC releases having been previously delayed indefinitely due to performance issues. Bethesda has reportedly been workly closely with Sony to make the add-ons play nice with the PS3 hardware, and this new tweet seems to confirm that some progress has been made.
Unfortunately, there's no word on when this content will be coming or which of the two former DLC releases so far are headed to PS3. Stay tuned for more news soon.
