
Apple has just announced a new iPad mini, a smaller version of its tablet, as well as the fourth generation of "full-size" iPads.
The iPad Mini is, according to Apple, as thin as a pencil and weighs as much as a pad of paper. It comes in white and black. The iPad mini screen is 7.85 inches. iPad Mini weighs 0.68 pounds. That's over 50% lighter than the 4th generation iPad.
16 GB version costs $329. The Wi-fi version comes out November 2. The cell version will come out around two weeks later. You can start to pre-order Wi-Fi version through Apple on Friday.

The fourth generation of Apple tablets feature a "retina" display. A6x chip, new image processing, updated Facetime, Wi-Fi performance that's twice as fast, the new "lightning" connector, as well as other technical enhancements.
The fourth generation iPad starts at 16 GB for $499.
