
That skinny device above is the new design of the just announced iMac. The new iMac starts at $1299, and features Apple's new "Fusion Drive" that combines 128GB flash, with a 1 or 3 terabyte hard drive. The new kind of drive allows you to run apps from either Flash memory or off the hard-drive.

Apple's new iMac sports a 5mm edge on the display and is 80 percent thinner than the previous generation. The 21.5-inch version features 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and the 27-inch version features 2,560 x 1,440 resolution.
The revamped iMacs will have up to 768GB flash storage, Nvidia Kepler graphics, and up to 3TB of hard drive storage space.
The 21.5-inch edition starts shipping first in November for $1,299, followed by the 27-inch iMac in December, which starts at $1,799.
