This right here is how you want to start your week: with a shiny, new gameplay trailer for BioShock Infinite. Set to the strains of Nico Vega's "Beast," the minute-and-a-half montage offers up a picture of Irrational Games' work on the February 26, 2012 release.
The thing that strikes me most watching this trailer is the abundance of people. For all of its deranged Splicers, BioShock was a very solitary experience. Columbia compares to Rapture in the sense that it is -- or appears to be, based on what we know -- a dying metropolis, but it looks like the new story plunges you much more centrally into the throes of that death. That certainly seems to be the case based on what we know of the warring Vox Populi and Founders factions.
There's plenty more to pick apart in the trailer, but pay close attention to that first bit of footage. Is a lighthouse the entry point for Irrational's latest ruined paradise as well?
