With all the technological advances in every aspect of our life, you'd think engineers would have come up with a more elegant solution to controlling a car than physically turning a wheel. Turns out, Nissan is working on it. The company would like to release a steer-by-wire Infinity by the end of next year.
While you won't be able to nap on you way to work with a new Infinity, you will be able to, conceivably, steer with a joystick from the backseat. Of course the technology will really be used to make steering wheels more responsive, but it would only take one clever modder to create a push-button or iPad driven Nissan.
