All Call of Duty Elite services for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be free when the game launches in November, Activision has announced. Call of Duty Elite currently offers extra services and features for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, like Player HQ, Clan HQ, and Call of Duty Elite TV, as well as guaranteed early access to downloadable map packs for a subscription fee.
Everyone loves free, but we're kind of surprised by the move considering that Call of Duty elite sold one million premium membership in its first week when the service debuted. To make up for the difference this time around, Activision has also announced that they'll be selling four DLC Map Pack for Black Ops 2 as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass.
The CoD: Black Ops 2 Season Pass will be available for $50 and come to the Xbox 360 first. The maps included will bring new multiplayer and zombie content to players, and each pack will be available individually for $15 for anyone who wants them. In total, those who pick up the Season Pass will save $10.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 launches on November 13, 2012.
