Nintendo Drops Wii Price To $129.99

Nintendo is knocking the price of a Wii console down to $129.99 (from $149.99) in advance of the November 18, 2012 Wii U launch. Current bundles are packaged with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but the newly re-priced console will switch things up by including Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort as pack-in games instead.

In addition to the games, both of which are crammed onto a single disc, the bundle includes the black Wii console as well as a Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controller (both black as well). The newly re-priced and re-packaged Wii bundle is available in some stores now, but Nintendo confirms that it will be "broadly available" here in North America by October 28.
