Cheats and Walkthroughs
On October 20, 2012 G4TV will be participating in Extra Life, an annual 24-hour video game marathon that raises money to help kids at Children's Miracle Network hospitals around the nation. Last year G4 managed to raise over $20,000 and this year we've already raised a whopping $7,000, but we need your participation so that we can help as many kids as we possibly can.
If you're wondering what's in it for you, the video game industry is continually supportive of Extra Life and many have made some gracious donations on its behalf. Telltale Games, EA Games, Microsoft Xbox, ZEN Studios, 2K Games, Activision, Harmonix, SEGA, Bethesda Softworks, Konami and Square-Enix have all offered games and merchandise in support of our team. We will be awarding these to people who raise money of different scales so as long as you are helping to raise some money, you may be eligible to earn some of these fantastic rewards.
There are three ways that you can help:
#1: Donate your social currency.
Tweet out a link to the Extra Life page (http://www.g4tv.com/extralife/) or post it on Facebook to encourage your friends, family members, and followers to join up and raise money. The more team members we have, the more donations we can potentially raise!
#2: Sign up as a participant.
Visit the G4TV team page and join the G4TV team. You can play any game on any platform (including mobile devices), and you simply need to raise money from your friends and family for your local CMN hospital. They can make a monthly pledge or a one-time gift.
#3: Donate to an existing member.
Pick a G4TV colleague that's participating, or better yet, make someone's day by choosing someone else randomly to aid. Ideal donations are $1 an hour (for $24) but give whatever you can. You can find team members also via the G4TV team page. Here's a link to mine!
Gamers, it's up to you to step up and make the world a better place. Let's do it for the kids! As for me, on top of playing for 24 hours on October 20, I'm planning on hosting a League of Legends event with the incredible commentator and eSports personality TotalBiscuit on October 13, 2012 at 2 PM PST on my live stream. Come check it out, play with us, win prizes, and help us help the kids.
