Fans of Max Payne 3 were confused when September 2012 came and went without the promised released of the game's Hostage Negotiation DLC, and now Rockstar Games confirms that it has indeed been delayed. The $10/800 MS Point release will now be arriving later in the fall for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PCs, adding four new maps, two new weapons, and an assortment of other customization features to the game's multiplayer mode.

"Our apologies to Max Payne fans who've been waiting for this one and the other upcoming packs – we're working hard to bring you this and all the other DLC and should have a release date to announce for this next pack very soon," Rockstar writes in a Newswire post. To make up for the delay, all Social Club members can look forward to receiving a chrome weapons pack for free later this week.
