We've got some new details on the upcoming PlayStation Vita version of Phantasy Star Online 2, which launched in Japan for Windows PCs on July 4, 2012. The Vita version, which is set to arrive sometime in 2013, will bea free-to-play offering, as members of the game's dev team revealed during a Q&A at Tokyo Game Show 2012 (via Siliconera).
The online-only action-RPG will also support cross-platform play between the Vita and PC versions of the game, at least to a limited extent. It seems that only parts of a server will allow for this functionality, though how that plays out in the game itself remains to be seen. PSO2 will also only allow for one game account per Vita memory card, though that's not exactly a surprise what with a recent firmware update having done away with support for multiple accounts on a single card.
