Klei Entertainment's excellent 2D stealth game Mark of the Ninja is coming to Steam on October 16, 2012. Lead designer Nels Anderson promised to release a "full, proper version" rather than a "shoddy port" in an email to Kotaku. Sure, that's probably a goal shared by all console-to-PC development efforts, but it's still nice to hear.
Mark of the Ninja was released exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade earlier in September and it's stellar. PC users will no doubt be happy to hear that the coming Steam release won't use the Games for Windows Live frontend. That means no Xbox Achievements, sure, but it also means a smaller memory footprint. Not that this game seems particularly hardware intensive.
I can't speak highly enough of Klei's work on this game, and in fact have spoken highly of it at length in my Mark of the Ninja review.
