Chances are, you'll never be involved in a high speed pursuit in real life, but if you are, you should totally drive a Volvo and throw all your money out the window like those guys in Los Angeles did a few weeks ago. That's just a little free advice from your friends here at TheFeed.
Anyway, getting back to the business at hand, videogames are all about wish fulfillment, and when it comes to high speed chases, no one does it better than the Need for Speed franchise.
Our own Jake Gaskill got some hands-on time with the game all the way in Tokyo, Japan home of drifting and ramen. Here's some of what he had to say in his Need for Speed Most Wanted Hands-On Preview:
"The last event was a long jump competition over a highway. Two giant dirt mounts sit on either side of the overpass, and you have a set amount of time to pull off the biggest jump you can. What’s particularly hilarious about this challenge is that it’s already hard enough to clear the overpass (as evidenced by the car after car sent careening into the air after smashing into its side), but because everyone is trying to jump at the same time, you end up getting into some spectacular aerial collisions."
