Guns of Icarus Online - Steampunk Takes To The Skies

Muse Games was a notable video game success story in the pre-Double Fine Adventure days, and now there's an October 29, 2012 release date set for the game that so many people helped to fund, Guns of Icarus Online. Ostensibly an expansion of the dev's steampunk rail shooter, Online completely changes up the framework of the earlier game with a multiplayer focus and FPS-style play as aboard fully crewed steam-and-brass airships.

You can pre-order Guns of Icarus Online right now through Steam (via Joystiq) for Windows and Mac with reduced prices for both the standard and Collector's Edition releases, selling for $14.99 and $24.99, respectively. There's also a price-reduced Collector's Edition four-pack available for $34.99. As an added incentive, a pre-order will get you immediate access to the game's ongoing beta, which ends on September 30.
