BioWare have announced the Mass Effect 3 "Omega" DLC as well as a new "Mass Effect" game. The news comes from Aaryn Flynn, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager, shortly after the retirement announcements of BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk.
Flynn didn't give much details on Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC, but he did mention that it will include a single-player story and that there will be more single-player DLC to come in the next six months. We're guessing that Shepard will have to do some assignments for Aria T’Loak, the Asari who rules Omega. He also mentioned that the company is focusing on more multiplayer DLC. Omega will be coming this fall, probably in November.
In his post, Flynn also mentioned that Mass Effect Executive Producer Casey Hudson is putting together a team for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built with all new gaming technology. “The Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have plans for another full game,” he said.
This new "full game" could potentially be a prequel or follow-up to the ME trilogy, but we'll have to wait for more details to emerge to learn more. What kind of game would you want to play?
