Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition developer 4J Studios is showing off some of the new content that you can expect to see in the game's upcoming v1.8.2 update, analogous with the PC version's "Adventure Update." A flurry of tweets from the developer started with the comment that 4J is maybe "a week or two" away from submitting the major content update to Microsoft for certification, which means we'll probably see it arrive in mid-to-late-October, 2012.
The newly released video up top shows off the many new food options that are available to players as of v1.8.2, along with the new hunger bar (situated to the right of the health bar). One element that unfortunately seems to be absent is player experience; there are no XP orbs dropped when the mobs are killed in the first part of the video. The update WILL, however, features ravines, villages, strongholds, and abandoned mineshafts, as a series of tweeted screenshots confirm.
