G4 is teaming up with charity drive Extra-Life to help sick kids, and we need your help. But this isn't a pitch for money or anything. We need you, Mr/Ms Gamer, to join our crack team of video game experts. We need volunteers to join our team, play games, and raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.
Here's what you need to do to be part of the action:
Join the G4TV Team - By signing up and affiliating yourself with our team, you can help raise money for your specific charity outlet. You can play at home and encourage your friends and family to sponsor you as part of the G4TV team, and everyone is welcome to join! You can sign up right here. We're going to raise over $30,000 this year, people, but we won't be able to do it without you. The first 50 G4 fans that join the G4 team and raise $100, a G4 T-shirt (ERV of $20)!
I'm planning on playing the 20 lowest-rated games of the year over 24 hours, and constantly updating via my twitter, in a project I call "Operation One-Star." Those who pledge to help out will be able to pick the games I play, and follow my progress as I slowly lose my mind.
So join our team and feel free to play for 24 hours... or don't. The important part is to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, which is a serious charity that seriously helps sick kids in hospitals all over the country.
