NBA Live 13 Delayed Out Of Early October

Posted September 14, 2012 - By Adam Rosenberg

EA Sports is calling a timeout on NBA Live 13 as the shot clock ticks ever closer to the game's now-delayed early October 2012 release, Game Informer confirms. There's no word on when the game will be arriving now, per an EA Sports statement: "Many fans have been anticipating an early October launch, but our plan is to release at a later date. We will share more information in the future."

The publisher no doubt wants to make sure that its first NBA title since 2009 is absolutely 100 percent ready for primetime, what with NBA Elite 11 having been canceled prior to its release in 2010. The release date change leaves 2K Sports' NBA 2K13 to hit stores unopposed by any competing basketball games on October 2, 2012, less than a month before the NBA season starts on October 30.

It's not all bad news, however. EA Sports released a new trailer to show off how NBA Live 13 is coming along. You can check that out above.
