A closer look at Keiji Inafune's upcoming zombie game Yaiba was promised when the title was first revealed earlier this week, and now it's here. The above trailer runs for less than a minute and offers only the briefest of looks at gameplay, but it's enough to get a sense of what's going on. It's also enough to get me very excited about the prospect of seeing more, even though it's not clear what platforms the game is headed to or when it's going to be out.
We already knew that Yaiba's action cocktail would involve zombies, ninja, and mecha, and now we see what that means: you are a mecha-ninja and you're slicing up hordes of zombies. That isn't the most original collection of ideas on its own, but the striking hand-drawn look of the game mixed with Inafune's involvement is enough to make me a believer. What do you think?
