ArmA 3

A pair of Czech employees at Arma 3 dev Bohemia Interactive were arrested in Lemnos, Greece for collecting photos and video footage of the nation's military installations, studio CEO Marek Spanel confirms in a post on the official Bohemia forums (via Polygon). Beginning of a globe-trotting, high-octane spy thriller or research trip gone horribly, horribly wrong?

Spanel merely confirmed that yes, a pair of company employees were indeed arrested in Greece on charges of espionage. He also asked that fans not discuss the news on the Bohemia website "until we know more specific details about the case," which is entirely understandable.

It's likely that the two incarcerated staffers were gathering research material to help inform the development of Arma 3 -- which is set in Greece on the islands of Lemnos and Ai Stratis -- but it's hard to speak with any more certainty at this point about what continues to be a developing story. Here's hoping it all turns out to be a big misunderstanding.
