Toys R Us has announced the Tabeo Tablet, a tablet for kids. The Tabeo will feature a 7-inch screen and wi-fi capabilities. The Tabeo is wrapped in a soft foamy material that acts like a bumper, in order to protect the device from being dropped. It will launch exclusively at Toys R Us on October 21, 2012. The Tabveo will set you back $149.99, a small price to pay to make sure your kid doesn't break your iPad.
Upon purchase, the tablet will already have 50 kid-friendly apps installed. If those apps don't keep your kid entertained, there will be over 7,000 other free apps available for download. On the OS front, the Tabeo runs on Android's "Ice Cream Sandwich" OS. Parents will be able to determine which apps and categories are appropriate for their child. Should the parent deem it okay, the tablet can be used to access the internet as well.
