DICE's latest patch for Battlefield 3 should be available for download or coming soon to a console near you by the time you read this. The latest title update is yet another hefty one, weighing in at 1.44GB on Xbox 360, 1.53GB on PlayStation 3, and roughly 2.2GB on PC. That's smaller than the upcoming Armored Kill DLC's 1.55GB filesize (3.2GB on PC!), but only barely.
The changes aren't particularly sexy, but they're functional ones that are aimed at delivering a more balanced multiplayer experience, just as the tanks, jeeps, and assorted aircraft of Armored Kill show up to futz with everything. You can geek out on the lengthy changes list at Battlefield's Battlelog.
As we previously reported, Armored Kill is available for Battlefield Premium subscribers on PS3 starting today, September 4, 2012. Xbox 360 and PC Premium users get the DLC on September 11. The general public then gets to snatch it up for PS3 on September 18 or for Xbox 360/PC on September 25.
