Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida messed with fans' heads in a tweet showing what appeared to be the HD remake of Ico for PlayStation 3 running on a PS Vita. The image actually turned out to be the PS2 gem from Team Ico running on Sony's handheld via the PS3's Remote Play feature, he confirmed in a subsequent tweet (via Polygon). Sike!
While still cool, a Remote Play Ico on the Vita is, as Yoshida called it, a "tease" of what the Vita could with more backwards compatibility. Sony's already putting out backcatalog hits like Ratchet & Clank and God of War in HD remake collections that would be great on the handheld. Yoshida promised to reveal "more info soon" about the upcoming patch for Ico HD, a patch that presumably also includes support for the game's packed in companion piece, Shadow of the Colossus.
