One of the most exciting new elements in Assassin's Creed 3 is the game's naval combat sections. Ubisoft got down to serious business at Gamescom 2012, and we spoke to Steve Masters, Lead Designer at Ubisoft, to find out more details about the naval warfare gameplay mechanics contained in Assassin's Creed 3.
"There's a couple mainline missions that just focus purely on the naval experience," Said Masters, "but there's also a whole host of side content you can engage in, and get money to upgrade your boat, buy new cannons, buy new ammo, upgrade your sails and your navigation capabilities, so there's a whole dynamic side to the game."
