Sega is getting into the mobile publishing game with the launch of Sega Alliance, a partner program that sees the publisher providing support to indie devs working on mobile releases. Sega has a presence in the mobile space already, but this new initiative aims to broaden that reach beyond the company's wholly owned IP.
The first Sega Alliance release is already available, the iOS-exclusive puzzle game Jack Lumber from Owlchemy Labs. You play as a "supernatural lumberjack" who possesses the ability to warp time. He uses that most useful of skills to help him cut trees down to size. Owlchemy is the same developer that brought Snuggle Truck to iOS after the game's original Smuggle Truck concept was smacked down by Apple.
