Battlefield 4 Will Be Set In The Present

According to Battlefield 4, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson will be set in modern times.

"We still want to stay in this genre, the modern day as it is. We feel this is a place we can be and continue with the series. Battlefield 4 can live in this space and be very successful," said Troedsson at Europe's Game Developer Conference.

"There's a lot of things inspiring us as to how the franchise will move on. Everything from fans' feedback, to market research and, of course, what we want to build ourselves. It's not just one single thing,"

"I can't comment any more on that game because it's all secret," he added.

So here's all the non-secret info we have about Battlefield 4: 

• The beta will be in Fall of 2013. You can get into it by pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

• There will be other ways to get into the beta aside from MoH Warfighter. At this time, however, it is the only way to guarantee entry.
