Epic Games has purchased People Can Fly, the developers working on the upcoming Gears title, Gears of War Judgment. Epic has had a majority share in the company since 2007. People Can Fly worked on Epic's 2011 title, Bulletstorm. Epic and People Can Fly's relationship dates back to 2007 when they developed the PC version of Gears of War.
The purchase of People Can Fly led to three key employees leaving, Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski and Michal Kosieradzki. In an interview with The Verge, Epic's Mark Rein said these changes will not affect the development of Gears of War Judgment. This shake up might not affect development too much, but I wonder if the departure of Epic's Rod Fergusson for Irrational will.
