CD Projekt RED has announced the REDkit, a set of mod tools coming to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The kit will allow any player to create original Witcher 2 content including non-linear adventures, new locations, and more. Unfortunately, CD Projekt RED didn't go in to any other details about the REDkit. However, they will be presenting the mod kit for the first time at Gamescom 2012 so we'll definitely have more details after the convention.
In general, mod kits have always been extremely popular with PC gamers. Just think of all of the amazing Skyrim mods that are out there. In fact, for Skyrim alone there are over 9,000 (!) mods available in the Steam Workshop. Here's hoping we'll see those types of numbers for The Witcher 2.
For now, what kind of mods do you want to see in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings? Let us know in the comments section.
