Silent Hill HD

Fans of Silent Hill put up with a lot -- lackluster games, lame Hollywood movies, glitchy re-releases, and now, a patch that won't be coming for the Xbox 360 version of the game. Konami announced it is patching the sometimes buggy Silent Hill HD Collection for the PlayStation 3, but if you're a Xbox 360 user, no patch for you.

According to Konami, "Plans for an Xbox 360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources."

The patch fixes frame rate issues, audio-synching and other reported issues for the PS3 version of the game. So if you purchased the 360 version of Silent Hill HD Collection, you apparently just have to live with a game that doesn't work right because it's too hard/expensive for Konami to repair.

"Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the Xbox 360 sku," they said in a statement. Thanks for the apology, I guess.

I've put the word out to Konami to see what 360 users can do if they have a glitchy copy of Silent Hill HD Collection, and I'll update when/if I hear from them.
