Halo developer Bungie is looking for beta-testers, most likely for "Project Destiny," a game that still hasn't even been announced. Destiny will be Bungie's first game with Activision, and according to Bungie, it will require "hundreds of thousands" of testers.
If you're wondering whether you'd make the cut, here's what Bungie is looking for, from its site:
"Our User Research team has very specific curiosities in mind when they tap a Beta Tester on the shoulder. The mazes that they build into their Laboratorium are meticulously customized for the people they choose to run through them. If you have yet to be selected, sit tight – and make sure that the email address attached to your profile is one that you still check. Your time may yet come."
Destiny was described as a series of "sci-fantasy, action shooter games" in court documents, with a yearly release schedule that begins in 2013.
The first "Destiny" game will reportedly be Microsoft-exclusive and will be built for the 360 as well as the next generation of Xbox, which the contract called the "Xbox 720." Later games are planned as cross-platform releases, and will be playable on the successor to the PlayStation 3 and on PC.
