Rise of the Triad, the PC classic, is being remade and released as a downloadable title. The game will cost $14.99 and will be supported with post-launch DLC. Interceptor Entertainment, Rise of the Triad's developer, plans on making all post launch DLC free.
The game's announcement took place last week at QuakeCon 2012. Dave Oshry, the marketing director, said the most requested feature from the QuakeCon audience was for co-op. This feature is now on the minds of the developers, but they have not confirmed the gameplay mode.
Rise of the Triad could feature weapons that were not included in the 1994 original. It will run at 60 frames per second, be DRM-free and modable.
A release date was not announced.
