DrinkBox Studios will be releasing its PlayStation Vita platformer Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack for PC via Steam on August 15, 2012 (via IGN). The PSN-only Vita launch title was regarded by many to be the strongest offering when the handheld was released earlier this year, and even now it stands as one of the best reasons to own Sony's new device.
The cartoonish platformer places players in control of a green alien blob as it breaks free from captivity and proceeds to rain havoc and devestation down on the planet Earth. There's a strong Katamari Damacy influence here too, as your blob starts out tiny but grows over the course of the game as it consumes everyday objects. Eventually, you'll be laying waste to cities as you swallow them up whole. I won't spoil the final level, but it's easily one of my all-time favorites in video games.
There's no price listed for the upcoming PC release, but it's a safe bet that the Steam version of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack will fall close to the $7.99 price on PSN.
