The drip-feed of information on Sony's Smash Bros-like fighter PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale might have just turned into a full-on gush thanks to newly revealed information that was apparently pulled from the files of the game's private beta. While the Internet has generally proven to be good at delivering fakes and forgeries with this sort of thing, the leaked images especially look too accurate to ignore.
A NeoGAF thread does a solid job of rounding up the various details, all of which originated with Reddit user 696Ly. You probably recognize the stage pictured above from BioShock Infinite's Columbia, an interesting choice considering that the only playable character from the Irrational Games series (that we know of) is a Big Daddy, beings that are native to the first two games' Rapture. The leaked images also point to stages inspired by locations in Killzone, Twisted Metal, Infamous, Sly Cooper, LocoRoco, Uncharted, Resistance, Ape Escape, and others.
Assuming the info is true, we now know the identities of a number of playable fighters that Sony hadn't yet revealed as well. Bear in mind that none of this is confirmed, but it seems that Raiden (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), Dante (the rebooted one from DmC), Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Spike (Ape Escape), Sir Danial Fortesque (MediEvil), Nariko (Heavenly Sword), and an evil version of Infamous protagonist Cole McGrath will all be playable.
There's quite a bit of other info too, but a lot of it is piecemeal and based on speculative considerations of the leaked code. Check out the NeoGAF post for a more complete rundown, including a list of useable in-match items and info about the game's various modes, as well as additional images.
