Mass Effect 3's Latest Bounty Weekend Is Earthbound

BioWare's latest Bounty Weekend for the Galaxy at War mode in Mass Effect 3 is now confirmed as Operation Overwatch. Players are challenged to successfully extract from a Galaxy at War match, with the added requirement that at least one of the characters on the team comes from the recently released Earth DLC pack.

The community goal calls for a minimum of 800,000 player extractions over the course of the weekend, which runs from July 27, 2012 at 10am PT to July 30 at 5am PT. The timer on all extraction clocks throughout the weekend will also be extended due to the community's failure to complete the previous Operation Broadside group goal.

Complete the challenge and you'll get a Commendation Pack for free next week. You'll also score a Victory Pack that includes a new Earth character if the community hits that 800,000 extraction goal. The challenge is available on all platforms, but you'll of course need to have the Earth DLC downloaded in order to participate.
