City Interactive's Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has been delayed again, with the new release date set for January 15, 2013. European distributor Namco Bandai confirmed the news to videogamer.com in a statement, explaining that "polish is... key to the title's success." The game's official product page on City Interactive's website is now updated to reflect the new release date as well.
This is the second delay to hit Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, which was originally pegged for an August 21, 2012 release. Namco confirmed the previous release date change back in July, a shift that would have seen the game released on October 9. The added polish will no doubt help to improve the game, but City must be breathing a little easier with the knowledge that Ghost Warrior 2 now won't be releasing alongside the likes of Dishonored, Resident Evil 6, and other holiday juggernauts.
