NASA and The Jet Propulsion Laboratory have teamed up with Microsoft to release a Kinect-enabled Mars rover game entitled Mars Rover Landing. In the free game, it'll be up to you to guide NASA's Mars rover, Curiosity, to its landing site safely using your body to direct the craft and control its thrusters.
"Because Mars exploration is fundamentally a shared human endeavor, we want everyone around the globe to have the most immersive experience possible," said Michelle Viotti, Mars public engagement manager at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Mars Rover Landing is available now in the Xbox Live Marketplace and Microsoft even plans to dedicate an area of the dashboard to the Curiosity rover, where you'll be able to check out pictures, videos, and more information about the mission.
Curiosity is set to land on Mars at about 10:31 PM PST on August 5. Let's see if you can land first.
