The Dark Knight Rises follows the story of Batman eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, wherein the caped crusader was chased in to exile by the Gotham Police Department. Now, Bane, a terrorist leader who wants to destroy Gotham City has made his way on to the scene, and it will be up to Batman to come out from hiding in order to bring an end to the menacing villain.
