Patch v1.0.3b for Diablo 3 is officially here, and the marquee change that comes with it is the previously promised addition of in-game commodities to the real money auction house. Players now have the option of spending -- or making -- actual dollars (as opposed to in-game gold) on items like gems, dyes, crafting materials, leveling items, and crafter pages. Also included in the patch are a few assorted bug fixes.
There's more coming to the real money auction house as well. According to Blizzard, players will be able to buy and sell in-game gold sometime in the "near future." There's no date given, but Blizzard's been quick with the updates so far and the words "near future" certainly suggest that it won't be long. I'm curious though: how many of you readers have spent (or made) real, actual money in the Diablo 3 auction house?
