High Moon Studios, the developer behind the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, now has the keys to the Marvel Comics series Hit-Monkey for an Activision-published adaptation, due for a 2013 release (via Game Informer). There's little more than a web domain and a teaser image right now, though we'll hopefully start hearing more once Transformers hits stores on its newly pushed forward August 21, 2012 release date.
The comic book series follows a Japanese Macaque who learns his professional murdering skills from an unnamed, injured assassin who is taken in by a troop of the monkeys after a failed job. Our starring primate doesn't trust the newcomer, and in watching him learns the killing arts. Those skills eventually get him kicked out of his troop, and so he begins his new life as a... HIT-MONKEY.
I'm so serious. That's the origin story. This game could play like crap and it would still be amazing.
