Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was near completion before LucasArts yanked the plug on the shooter. Years later, nearly an hour of footage from Free Radical's alpha build of the game has been leaked.
This Star Wars: Battlefront 3 gameplay video was captured by Past to Present Online. It shows off the following locations and events:
- Galactic Conquest
- Cloud City Bespin map
- Desolation Station
- More Cloud City
- Crashing Xbox 360s
- Kashyyyk
- Mustafar
- Story Mission on Cloud City
- Challenge Mission : Speeder Race
- Challenge Mission : Classic Death Star
As Tom Petty once sang, "God it's so painful when something that's so close, is still so far out of reach." I'm pretty sure this exactly what Tom was singing about. Seeing how complete this game was makes knowing it was cancelled hurt so much more. Hopefully the hype the leaked info and videos are getting will convince LucasArts to see the error of their ways and finally release Battlefront 3.
