Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy 7 for the PC. To make the announcement official they also released a new trailer showing off the game's 1997 graphics. Final Fantasy 7 for the PC will not feature HD graphics. It will, however, feature cloud saves (Get it? Because Cloud saves!), and a game editor to maximize characters health, magic and money. There will also be in-game achievements so you can share your progress with friends.
Final Fantasy 7 for the PC will be released later this year to celebrate Final Fantasy's 25th anniversary. It will be available exclusively in the Square Enix eStore.
What do you think of Final Fantasy 7 for the PC? Is it exactly what you were hoping for or is it 15 years too late?
UPDATE: Although this title is not in HD, it will feature uprezzed characters, including monsters, both in fight sequences and cutscenes. Background and CG movies will not be changed.
