Good news, Guild Wars fans! NCsoft and ArenaNet have set an official release date of August 28, 2012 for Guild Wars 2 in North America and Europe. It's been a long time coming, but the sequel to the subscription-free MMO that was first released in 2005 is finally almost here.
Fans can expect a much bigger Guild Wars this time around, with a significantly boosted level cap over the previous game (from 20 to 80), a more streamlined progression system, boosted visuals that look outstanding on today's PC platforms, and plenty more.
