Atari is 40 years young as of June 27, 2012. For those among you readers who can remember owning an Atari 2600 console back in the '80s: do you feel old yet? I sure do. The company's changed hands a few times since those early days, of course, but the name has remained a constant over these past four decades.
The publisher confirms in a press release that celebration plans include a full year of promotions -- starting with the "40 Giveaways in 4 Days" sweepstakes -- all of which can be kept track of on the official Atari Facebook page. More announcements are promised for the coming weeks and months.
