BioWare's "Allies" update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is finally here, bringing the MMO up to version number 1.3 and adding a hefty amount of new content to the game. The update was first revealed in a May 2012 trailer that offered a look at a sampling of what's new, including the long-asked-for server transfers feature and a Group Finder, meant to ease the process of hooking up with other players for co-op and PvP play.
On the content side, players can also look forward to an assortment of new Legacy Perks, as well as adaptive social gear that allows you to tailor your character's look without affecting stats and easier ways to unlock equipment augmentation mod slots. PvP fans also get some love with the addition of new ranked Warzones. All of this is setting the stage for some bigger content unlocks later this year, including a bumped up level cap, a new planet (Makeb) for those high-level players, and new Flashpoint/Operation outings.
