A woman in Snohomish County allegedly boosted nearly $10,000 from her employer and spent it on Frontierville. Prosecutors in Snohomish County say 47-year-old Rebecca Lynn Riley-Terry put $9,949.20 on a company credit card for items in the Facebook game. She reportedly spent around $2,000 a month over four months on the game.
You shouldn't steal money from your employer for any reasons, but if you must embezzle, at least blow your filthy lucre on something cool like a solid gold hamburger. Spending $10K on a cheesed-out Facebook game is just inexplicable.
Reportedly, Riley-Terry has paid back $800. I think it might take her awhile to get this debt paid, huh?
But it got me thinking: If you could spend $10,000 in a video game, what would you buy? Would you use it to corner to the entire Diablo 3 marketplace and make a huge profit? Maybe converted it all to Microsoft points and have DLC for ever and ever?
