The Secret World Bosses Gameplay Preview: Abandon All Hope

Check out our bosses gameplay preview of The Secret World as I got my hands on some of the high level abilities as well as face some of the creatures some players will only met towards the bitter end of this fight through the paranormal and other things that go bump in the night. From the crest of the pyramids to Dracula’s modern castle in Transylvania, I got a taste of what you’ll be fighting through in just a couple of weeks.

Gather your courage and sharpen your axes as we take our final excursion into The Secret World, the newest MMO set to launch on July 3, 2012.

As you already know, The Secret World lets you play the way you want by letting you grow your character through the tools you use rather than the class you play. Loadouts let you switch between running in with an axe held high or going in with guns blazing. The switch happens before battle, but it gives you another level of flexibility when working with a team if you require another attacker or healer.

Dungeons play out like boss rushes as you move from arena to arena to beat the next bruiser. Each one brings a new trick to the table such as exploding minions or blood that corrupts the soil you stand on. Learn, live, and evade their attacks if you want to make it to the very end of this MMO.

On my journey, the developers introduced me to the World Boss, a creature of such immense power that it would take a small army of the highest-level characters just to take him out. Needless to say, we kept our distance from this unassuming beast.

It took teamwork, real communication, and some impressive gear just to take down some of these bosses just on their easiest difficulty.
