Cheating in Max Payne 3 has apparently become a large enough issue for Rockstar Games to step up and do something about it. A new post on the Rockstar Newswire reveals that any confirmed cheaters, whether it's a hacked/modded save or an exploited glitch that they're using for an edge, "will be quarantined from all other players into a 'Cheaters Pool' where they'll only be able to compete in multiplayer matches against other confirmed miscreants." If it's a permanent ban you're angling for, you can get that too by having your full access reinstated and then cheating again.
Rockstar is asking for help from its fans in turning the dream of a cheater-free Max Payne 3 into a beautiful reality. If you catch anyone in the midst of a shady act -- including "invincibility hacks, infinite adrenaline, [and] score cheating" -- shoot an e-mail to email@example.com noting the platform, the Gamertag / ID of the cheater, a description of what you saw, and, if possible, evidence in the form of a screenshot or video.
