Dawnguard, the upcoming DLC for Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, gets an extended E3 2012 gameplay preview from G4TV's Donell Tucker and Rob Manuel.
Dawnguard promises to add ten to 20 hours more content for Skyrim players, including the ability to become a vampire lord or Dawnguard, a vampire hunter. Players will be happy to find that crossbows, a powerful but slow weapon, are available in Dawnguard, in addition to new crafting options, such as dragon bone, the strongest material available yet. In this video, we see some basic crossbow training, the glowing eyes of vampires, and a new mount that you can summon. You can also see the violent, super-awesome vampire transformation, their flying capabilities, and, my favorite, their vampiric grip ability, which lets you throw hurl enemies into the sky.
Gargoyles are a new minion in Dawnguard, too. And there's a new shout which you receive from a new dragon featured in this extended gameplay preview. The shout allows players to suck the souls of their enemies and turn them into minions.
The $20 Skyrim Dawnguard DLC will be release on June 26, 2012.
